Minerality – Wine Term of the Week

Minerality - Wine Term of the WeekI really should rename this segment as I can’t seem to hold to this “week” standard haha. Anyway … this week’s word is Minerality.

Minerality is a tasting term to describe mineral-like characteristics of a wine, typically whites such as Pinot Grigio and Chablis. A common wine buzzword, Minerality can refer to both flavors and aromas. The term is sometimes linked to the quality of the soil or terroir where the grapes are harvested.

This weekend is the Philadelphia Festival of Wine, Food and Spirits which I am eagerly anticipating. It’s time to put my new eating plan to the test. I ask for understanding from my Paleo group ahead of time.

Thanks for reading!
