Sometimes a wine will have the word ‘Reserve’ on the label. This is an indicator of a higher quality than the usual offering. Reserve could also mean that the wine was aged before being sold to the public. A word of caution … if the wine is procuced in an area where the term ‘Reserve’ is not regulated (As it is in Italy and Spain) it could be used solely for marketing purposes.
